Le projet « mise en place d’une cellule d’appui scientifique pour répondre à la demande de développements de produits AOP/IGP» est un projet ayant débuté le 15 février 2011 financé par la DGARNE de la Région wallonne avec comme partenaire le département d’histoire des FUNDP Namur.
Les objectifs du projet sont les suivants :
soutenir les groupements de producteurs dans leur démarche de reconnaissance de leurs produits comme AOP/IGP (soutien technique, technologique, caractérisation chimique et sensorielle, administratif, recherche historique) en axant l’accompagnement sur la rédaction d’un cahier des charges bien documenté, conforme aux exigences de l’Union Européenne.
Fonction
Dans le cadre de ce projet, un poste est disponible pour un chercheur au Laboratoire Qualité et Sécurité des Produits Agroalimentaires sous la direction de Mme Sindic.
Il s’agira pour l’ingénieur engagé de
contribuer à décrire le plus complètement les produit étudiés (propriétés physiques (forme, couleur), propriétés chimiques (teneur en eau, matières grasses), caractéristiques biologiques et organoleptiques (couleur, odeur, texture,…)
réaliser des analyses de composition ainsi que des produits similaires existants sur le marché
encadrer les producteurs qui le souhaitent.
organiser un jury de dégustation constitué de producteurs et de professionnels du goût
planifier et organiser les tests de dégustation portant sur l’ensemble de la production en collaboration avec l’organisme certificateur retenu
apporter un appui à la rédaction des cahiers des charges en partenariat avec Namur.
Compétences demandées
Le candidat devra être porteur d’un Master en Bioingéniérie de préférence orientation chimie et bioindustries ou sciences agronomiques option sciences et productions animales. Il manifestera de l’intérêt pour la recherche, possèdera la rigueur scientifique nécessaire, aura une bonne capacité de rédaction ainsi qu’un bon sens du contact avec les producteurs. Une expérience de 3 ans dans le secteur est souhaitée (analyse de composition des aliments et/ou analyse sensorielle).
Permis B et véhicule nécessaire.

Dans le cadre du projet OSCAR (Outil de Simulation Cartographique à l'échelle du paysage Agricole du Risque acarologique ), nous disposons d'un financement pour une thèse qui portera sur le "Rôle du mouvement des chevreuils et des caractéristiques du paysage sur la dynamique des populations de tiques" (voir le fichier attaché pour une description du sujet et les coordonnées des personnes à contacter). Pour un organisme régional de développement de l’agriculture biologique, intégré(e) au sein de l’équipe, vous aurez en charge des missions d’accompagnement d’agriculteurs vers la conversion à l’agriculture biologique, notamment dans le cadre de projets de développement de ce mode de production sur des zones à enjeu eau potable.
Plus précisément vous serez chargé(e) de :
conseiller et d’accompagner individuellement et collectivement les agriculteurs souhaitant se convertir en agriculture biologique, en lien avec les partenaires régionaux,
d’organiser des actions de formations pour la diffusion des pratiques biologiques aux professionnels,
de participer à des actions locales en partenariat avec des acteurs de l’eau dans le but de promouvoir l’AB comme solution aux problèmes de qualité de l’eau
de participer à l’accompagnement de collectivités ayant des projets de développement de l’agriculture biologique
d’animer le réseau de fermes de démonstration ainsi que le réseau de tutorat
d’animer des groupes d’agriculteurs biologiques et des dynamiques de territoire
Profil
Formation Ingénieur Agri/Agro (Bac + 5)
Expérience exigée sur un poste de développement de terrain si possible en agriculture biologique (au moins 2 ans)
Connaissances pratiques sur le fonctionnement des systèmes biologiques (notamment en grandes cultures biologiques)
Motivation pour développer le mode de production biologique
Goût pour le travail de terrain auprès d’agriculteurs biologiques et conventionnels
Assurance et aptitude au dialogue, force de conviction
Capacités organisationnelles et rédactionnelles.
Permis B et véhicule souhaité.

The Centre de Recherche Public - Gabriel Lippmann, a fast growing public establishment for applied scientific research and technology transfer in Luxembourg, has an opening on a permanent contract basis for its internationally recognized Department ‘Environment and Agro-biotechnologies’ (EVA) for a project leader in remote sensing and ecophysiology (m/f) - (Ref: EVA-260312-PLREMSENS)
Duties and responsibilities:
The selected candidate will lead a research team focusing on the understanding of the physiological mechanisms underlying plant mediated exchange processes.
A specific emphasis is set on related scale dependency processes from leave to ecosystem levels. The selected candidate has expertise in remote sensing (especially fluorescence, hyperspectral and/or thermal techniques) as well as in gas-exchange and flux measurements to scale and quantify the spatio-temporal variations of plant mediated exchange processes. She/he will work at the interface between plant ecophysiology and remote sensing.
The selected candidate will have to develop and maintain a nationally and internationally recognized innovative and interdisciplinary research program. The research activity must be balanced between basic and applied research and must attract external funding (e.g. FP7, ESA).
The selected candidate will exploit the potential for interdisciplinary research to improve our understanding of ecosystem processes at different scales, both through in-house competencies in remote sensing, hydrology, climatology, biology, agronomy and pedology, as well as through external partner institutions. Providing leadership to direct research and mentoring graduate students is essential.
Qualifications:
PhD in geosciences, biological sciences, physical geography, ecology, or environmental sciences with a specialisation in remote sensing and ecophysiology.
Knowledge in plant and canopy functioning, canopy-atmosphere exchange processes, measurement of fluxes, remote sensing of land surface processes.
Knowledge in (hyperspectral) thermal remote sensing would be considered as an advantage.
Experience with common digital image processing and GIS software (ESRI ArcGIS, Erdas/Imagine, IDL/ENVI) is required.
3-5 years of experience in a similar position in a R&D environment (public or private), with proven organizational skills and experience with fund-raising in national and/or European R&D funding.
The candidate must have a record of publications in peer reviewed scientific journals.
Applicants must demonstrate good skills in oral communication, an aptitude for grant writing, project management, team leadership in an interdisciplinary research group, and an interest to work on intra- and interdepartmental multidisciplinary projects.
Good organizational skills and the ability to work productively in a team environment are essential attributes.
International experience and interest are required.
The candidate must be fluent in English (scientific exchange) and have a good knowledge of French (administrative language) or German.

The European Forest Institute – Central European Regional Office EFICENT – OEF is now seeking for its Observatory for European Forests (OEF) a Research and administrative assistant
EFI vision is to ensure the sustainability of European societies and their forests. Its mission is to bring together the best possible cross-boundary knowledge and expertise, and to contribute to the ongoing dialogue on forests.
OEF main objective is to bring neutral and understandable information to civil society to bear on their representatives and decision making processes regarding the forestry sector direction at the regional, national, and pan- European levels. The main programmes implemented in association with different EFI units and collaborating partners are:
Forestry Sector analysis, including C&I for SFM (Macro)
Forest Investment analysis, including environmental valuation and indicators (Micro)
Communication and participatory research with civil society (Observatory)
The Observatory for European Forests located in Nancy, France is an integral component of the European Forest Institute headquarters in Joensuu, Finland. It works in liaison with the Regional Office for Central Europe (EFICENT) in Freiburg, Germany. It is referred as EFICENT-OEF to reflect the operational mode of the two different offices cooperating closely.
For the EFICENT-OEF in Nancy, France, the EFI is seeking a Research and Administrative Assistant. The work will include the following tasks:
Management of office facilities and assistance in financial administration
Organisation of events and publications (preparation, logistics and follow-up)
External communication (press releases, website and newsletter)
Research administration (project management, communication)
Contribution to the third research programme: participatory research with civil society
Applicants should have been exposed to a sufficient degree to administrative and management tasks and have a Master degree preferably in the fields of forestry/environmental sciences. They need to be fluent in spoken and written French and English while additional language skills are an asset. Excellent commands of MS Office software and webpage revision systems are required as well as good organisational and communication skills.
